Remote Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• CaptivateIQ is seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist to join their Product Ops Team in a remote capacity within North America.
• The role involves translating complex business, product, and technical questions into actionable quantitative analysis to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.
• Responsibilities include leveraging SQL and other languages to aggregate, shape, structure, and analyze data.
• The candidate will support ETL development and other data infrastructure.
• The role requires creating dashboards and summary visualizations to aid decision-making for product and operational teams.
• The candidate will perform exploratory analyses to understand products and customers, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Data will be leveraged to build business cases for product features and business priorities.

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL is required; knowledge of Excel and Python is a plus.
• Experience with data manipulation, exploratory analysis, and ETLs is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with visualization and dashboard development and maintenance.
• Proficiency with BI solutions such as Tableau, Looker, Mode, PowerBI, or Metabase is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential, with an emphasis on efficiently synthesizing complex topics and disseminating actionable takeaways.
• The ability to adapt and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-oriented environment is crucial.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or in a related role is required.
• A BA/BS degree, ideally in computer science, math, or another quantitative field, is necessary.
