Description:
CaptivateIQ is seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist to join their Product Ops Team in a remote capacity within North America.
The role involves translating complex business, product, and technical questions into actionable quantitative analysis to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.
Responsibilities include leveraging SQL and other languages to aggregate, shape, structure, and analyze data.
The candidate will support ETL development and other data infrastructure.
The role requires creating dashboards and summary visualizations to aid decision-making for product and operational teams.
The candidate will perform exploratory analyses to understand products and customers, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Data will be leveraged to build business cases for product features and business priorities.
This position is high visibility and has the potential to heavily influence the company's strategy.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency with SQL is required; knowledge of Excel and Python is a plus.
Experience with data manipulation, exploratory analysis, and ETLs is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with visualization and dashboard development and maintenance.
Proficiency with BI solutions such as Tableau, Looker, Mode, PowerBI, or Metabase is required.
Strong communication skills are essential, with an emphasis on efficiently synthesizing complex topics and disseminating actionable takeaways.
The ability to adapt and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-oriented environment is crucial.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or in a related role is required.
A BA/BS degree, ideally in computer science, math, or another quantitative field, is necessary.
