Description:

The Senior Data Scientist will work remotely and is expected to be passionate about precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry.
The role involves leading independent analysis of Tempus data for real-world evidence (RWE) studies in collaboration with large pharmaceutical partners.
Responsibilities include performing extensive coding, deriving real-world endpoints, and interpreting results of RWE analyses while evaluating study limitations.
The candidate will communicate research findings effectively to external Pharma partners and provide strategic recommendations.
Collaboration with internal teams such as product, engineering, oncology, bioinformatics, and clinical abstraction is essential to enhance data quality and analytical practices.
Staying updated on methodological advancements in real-world studies and oncology guidelines is crucial.
The position requires ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.

Requirements:

Candidates must have education in epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, public health, or related fields, with either a PhD and 1+ years of experience or a Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience.
Familiarity with observational real-world healthcare data and analytical experience with time-to-event methodologies is required.
Proven expertise in real-world data analytical studies is necessary.
Proficiency in R and SQL, particularly with statistical tools and packages, is essential.
Candidates should have experience interfacing with clients and presenting to various stakeholders.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent project management skills is important.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A strong eagerness to learn and a commitment to maintaining integrity in all endeavors is expected.

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000—$160,000 USD, depending on qualifications and experience.
