Remote Senior Data Scientist, Analytics - Core Product

Description:

• Discord is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Data Scientist to join the Data Science & Analytics team.
• The role focuses on user engagement, user experience, and growth from a product perspective.
• Responsibilities include partnering with teams throughout Discord for the full lifecycle of data science analytics, from ideation to building dashboards and reports, and conducting A/B testing.
• The candidate will define KPIs and metrics to improve user experience and create dashboards that provide actionable information.
• The role involves building custom data sets to monitor product features and processes, socializing insights with various audiences, and championing A/B testing.
• Collaboration with data and engineering teams to design scalable instrumentation is also a key part of the job.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in translating ambiguous business problems into informative insights through hands-on analytics.
• At least 4 years of experience in building dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or similar software, with proficiency in creating clean visualizations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience writing SQL.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex findings into easy-to-understand insights.
• At least 2 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests in a large data environment.
• A desire to work collaboratively with passionate individuals focused on solving challenging problems.
• A collaborative attitude and a natural curiosity are essential.
