Description:

Discord is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Data Scientist to join their Data Science & Analytics team.
The role involves partnering with teams throughout Discord to manage the full lifecycle of data analytics, from ideation and exploratory analysis to building dashboards and reports, and conducting A/B testing.
Responsibilities include defining KPIs and diagnostic metrics to improve user experience, encapsulating these measures in dashboards that provide timely and actionable information.
The candidate will use Discord's infrastructure to build custom data sets to monitor product features and processes.
The role requires proactively socializing insights, dashboards, and reports with both technical and non-technical audiences and soliciting feedback for improvement.
The candidate will champion A/B testing and assist teams in designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests.
Collaboration with data and engineering teams to design scalable instrumentation is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in translating ambiguous business problems into informative insights through hands-on analytics.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in building performant dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or similar software, with proficiency in designing clean visualizations is required.
The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience writing SQL.
Excellent communication skills are necessary, with the ability to simplify complex findings for diverse audiences.
The role requires 2+ years of experience in the design, analysis, and interpretation of A/B tests in a large data environment.
A desire to work collaboratively with passionate individuals who are committed to solving challenging problems is essential.
A natural curiosity and a collaborative attitude are also important traits for the candidate.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000 - $201,500, plus equity and benefits.
Salary is determined by role and level, with individual pay influenced by job-related skills, experience, and education.
