Remote Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• Launch Potato is a digital media company focused on connecting advertisers to customers throughout the consumer journey.
• The Senior Data Scientist role will heavily focus on building machine learning models and is not an engineering/data engineering position.
• The base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $160,000 per year, paid bi-monthly.
• The role involves developing deep personalization models and complex optimization algorithms to enhance customer experiences and drive revenue.
• The Senior Data Scientist will play a key role in the growth of the data science team and will be responsible for strategic planning of machine learning initiatives.
• Success in this role includes innovating and designing ML solutions for various business problems, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing data science support throughout project stages.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a data science position is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the marketing/advertising industry is necessary.
• A solid background in machine learning and statistics is essential.
• Professional experience in designing and implementing Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) solutions and recommendation systems is a must.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data science tools such as git, Kubernetes, and Docker is required.
• Experience creating ML solutions within cloud services (AWS/GCP) is needed.
• Familiarity with the ML model development lifecycle and data visualization tools (preferably Looker) is important.
• Experience managing a team of data scientists and machine learning researchers is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
