Description:
MedScout is creating a revolutionary revenue acceleration platform for sales and marketing teams in life science companies.
The company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their remote-first engineering team.
The role involves transforming raw claims data and medical market intelligence into actionable insights and tools.
The Data Scientist will collaborate with the Data Team and application engineering team to enhance data models based on feedback from customers, prospects, and internal sources.
Responsibilities include defining the acquisition strategy for new data and deploying it effectively for customers.
Daily evaluations will focus on code quality, peer review feedback, project completion, innovative problem-solving, team collaboration, and ownership mentality.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in a Data Science role with a proven track record of solving customer problems.
A strong understanding of medical claims data and billing practices is essential, including knowledge of industry data sources like CMS, AMA, and NPPES.
Proficiency in Python and SQL is required, particularly with Databricks for large-scale data processing.
Experience in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques is necessary.
Candidates should be experts in visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Superset.
A solid understanding of data modeling and experience with structured and unstructured data is expected.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a robust work ethic are crucial.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required, along with experience in leading team projects and mentoring junior members.
Familiarity with agile methodologies is preferred.
Experience with Apache Spark (Pyspark) and building ETL processes is a nice-to-have.
