The Senior Data Scientist – Causal Inference will lead high-impact data science initiatives focused on financial inclusion.
Responsibilities include managing the entire modeling process, from defining problems and developing causal models to deployment, evaluation, and continuous monitoring.
The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to ensure data-driven insights lead to measurable business impact.
The position involves embedding with business stakeholders to identify, test, and implement data science solutions, particularly econometric models and experiments.
The candidate will own full-cycle machine learning products, propose and analyze large-scale online experiments, and mentor junior team members.
The role is customer-focused and aims to expand financial access and improve credit outcomes.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience in a data science role or equivalent position is required.
At least 2 years in a senior or lead position executing end-to-end machine learning solutions for business stakeholders is necessary.
Fluency with Python and related machine learning packages is essential.
Comfort with SQL is required.
Experience with the full modeling cycle, including scoping, development, deployment, after-sale, and monitoring, is necessary, along with demonstrated delivery of business value.
Competency in statistics and knowledge of experimental design and analysis is required, with previous experience in causal modeling techniques.
Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, including the ability to tell stories through data and effective visualization.
The candidate must be able to thrive in ambiguous and complex environments.
A desire to champion simple, robust systems and to deploy and iterate as needed is important.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 a year.
