Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Content Platform Insights team.
The Content Platform is a central enabler for the Spotify business, delivering a complete, available, and enriched catalog of music, podcasts, videos, and more.
The team provides a knowledge graph that accumulates differentiated understandings of creators, content, their attributes, and their relationships.
The successful candidate will join the Magnum PI squad, focusing on products and processes for content review, primarily detecting and handling policy violations and copyright infringement.
Responsibilities include conducting exploratory analyses to understand the nature of content and evaluate the performance of automated review models, identifying opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of content-related decisions, and partnering with product teams to measure and interpret the impact of new strategies and features.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience building data science solutions.
A degree in data science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or a similar quantitative field is required.
You should possess the technical competence to perform advanced analytics.
Proficiency in coding skills, specifically SQL and Python or R, is necessary.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, matplotlib, ggplot2, or similar is required.
Extensive experience performing analysis with large datasets is essential.
You should be an ambitious person capable of tackling loosely defined problems and driving strategic impact.
Strong communication skills are necessary, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and explain complex topics in simple terms.
Experience mentoring junior data scientists to set them up for success is required.
You must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-energy environment and be comfortable with ambiguity.
