Description:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be developing AI agents and other AI applications to assist users in understanding their customer feedback, managing their XM programs, and taking data-driven actions.
You will work closely with product, engineering, UI/UX, and client teams to brainstorm ideas, perform feasibility testing, and inform product strategy.
Your responsibilities will include building models on unstructured text and structured survey data, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring AI and ML solutions to power platform features.
You will collaborate on software development with data science colleagues and engineers, write production-quality Python code, and encapsulate and expose data science models for integration into the SMG platform.
You will manage, deploy, and optimize data science applications and models in the cloud (Azure / Snowflake), lead initiatives assigned to you, and contribute to projects led by others.
Mentoring junior team members will also be part of your role.
Requirements:
A master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
You should have extensive experience (4+ years) in data science, ML engineering, or ML operations.
Core technical skills required include proficiency in machine learning with Python and common libraries, classical machine learning models, model training and evaluation frameworks, data analysis and visualization, natural language processing transformers, and databases including SQL and noSQL.
Experience with ML Ops tools such as Github actions, CI/CD, unit and integration testing, application monitoring, and logging is necessary.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure framework, including function apps, data factory, AI foundry, and Snowflake is essential.
Knowledge of AI/LLM concepts such as prompt engineering, fine-tuning of open-source LLMs, and model evaluation is required.
You must possess the curiosity and drive to stay updated on new developments in the AI/LLM space.
The ability to write production-quality Python code with integrated tests, error handling, and monitoring is crucial.
A deep understanding of developing, deploying, and scaling LLM solutions is necessary.
Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, and client teams are essential.
You should have an “end-to-end” data science skillset and the willingness to provide constructive feedback.
Self-direction and ownership of assigned projects are expected.
Effective communication skills to convey expertise to diverse audiences are required.
A desire to understand business priorities and customer needs is important.
You should thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
The ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization is essential.
