• Proof is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Fraud Tech product engineering team.
• The role involves using analytical skills to identify and prevent fraud risks on the Proof platform.
• Responsibilities include leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods to detect and mitigate fraudulent activities.
• The Senior Data Scientist will contribute to large-scale analytical fraud research and implementation projects through all stages.
• The position requires collaboration with product managers, engineers, and operational and legal teams to implement data-based solutions.
• The candidate will evaluate fraud cases holistically to identify areas for improvement and analyze additional signals to enhance fraud detection.
• Maintaining knowledge of current trends and issues in the field is also essential.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in data science, specifically focusing on fraud detection or a similar domain.
• Proficiency in traditional and advanced machine learning techniques and algorithms is necessary.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are required, including the ability to derive patterns, trends, insights, and perform risk/reward tradeoff analysis.
• A deep understanding of data management, including data pipeline and data quality, is essential.
• Experience in building machine learning-powered products is required.
• The candidate should demonstrate analytic thought leadership and intellectual curiosity.
• Effective communication skills and experience presenting findings to stakeholders are necessary.

Benefits:

• The expected cash compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $210,000 per year, based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
