Remote Senior Data Scientist, Healthcare Economics and Evaluation

Description:

• Pomelo Care is a multi-disciplinary team focused on improving care for moms and babies through evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care.
• The Senior Data Scientist will build analytic solutions to demonstrate Pomelo’s value to payer partners.
• The role involves generating data and insights that inform business decisions and patient care.
• Responsibilities include architecting and executing analyses to assess program outcomes, building data tables and dashboards, communicating value to patients, and collaborating with various teams to understand programs and user journeys.
• The candidate will also work closely with other data scientists and contribute to key publications related to healthcare outcomes.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 2+ years of professional experience in developing statistical and/or machine learning models for complex healthcare problems.
• Experience with cost of care or clinical outcomes target setting at relevant healthcare organizations is required.
• Proficiency in R or Python is necessary.
• The candidate should be an excellent executor, capable of making tough tradeoffs and getting things done under tight constraints.
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
• The candidate must possess strong problem-solving abilities and good judgment in decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
