The Senior Data Scientist will work closely with the Fin Crime & Compliance team to improve work efficiency and mitigate compliance risk.
The role involves interpreting data and translating statistical insights into actionable decisions to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency.
The candidate will lead the development, maintenance, and definition of specific compliance systems, such as the AML detection engine.
Responsibilities also include maintaining existing production models, supporting audit requests, conducting QA testing, and initiating continuous improvement initiatives.
The Senior Data Scientist will identify new business improvement opportunities and lead the end-to-end development from proof of concept to production deployment.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree (or above) in a quantitative discipline is required; a PhD will be a plus.
The candidate must have 8 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist within financial tech or blockchain companies, with a preference for exposure in onchain analysis.
Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with demonstrated experience in building and maintaining production ML models using AWS services.
The candidate should be down to earth and willing to handle ad-hoc data analysis requests while also leading the end-to-end development of products.
A good understanding of international cutting-edge technology is required, along with proficiency in reading English documents from international conferences and journals and applying them to engineering practice.
