Remote Senior Data Scientist (Only Brazil)

• Workana is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with solid experience in data modeling and building baselines for sales forecasting.
• The role involves collaborating with one of the largest global companies in the mass consumer goods sector in Brazil.
• The objective is to build a statistical sales baseline, develop predictive models, and deliver strategic insights to support the commercial planning team.
• The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, previous experience in similar projects, and the ability to structure complex analyses in a short time frame.
• Key activities include building sales baselines based on historical data and seasonality, creating predictive models (statistical or machine learning), structuring dashboards for data visualization, generating and presenting actionable insights to the planning team, and proposing optimizations based on data.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a data scientist or in related roles is required.
• Previous experience in sales forecasting projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge in statistical modeling and predictive analysis is essential.
• Proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, and BI (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is required.
• Desirable knowledge of sales methodologies in the FMCG segment.
• Analytical skills to handle large volumes of data are necessary.
• Availability for urgent project dedication is required.
• Fluency in written English is mandatory.
• Experience in the FMCG sector and knowledge of ARIMA, Prophet, multiple regression, or time series models are desirable.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
• Experience with Scrum or agile methodologies is preferred.
