Description:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for various teams to provide support for A/B test design and analysis.
Provide data-driven insights through ad-hoc analyses, presentations, and automated reports and dashboards.
Mentor junior data scientists on customer behavior and business performance.
Oversee junior data scientists in building models to understand user value and churn behavior.
Evaluate data patterns and communicate insights and opportunities with executives and internal teams.
Perform ongoing and ad-hoc analyses to evaluate A/B tests and build reporting infrastructure.
Provide analytics insights to optimize the app’s Trust and Safety environment and authentication funnels.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to develop and deploy a robust discovery process for users, including relevant recommendation engines.
Responsible for aligning the discovery and recommendation engine roadmap with product and brand-specific goals related to monetization, retention, and engagement.
Liaise with technical centers of excellence, including ML and AI, to integrate leading-edge technologies into brand-specific recommendation systems.
Support cross-brand initiatives through product integrations or transferring successful features specifically on discovery.
Stay updated on the latest industry developments related to recommendation engines and propose improvements to existing solutions.
Oversee the integration of captured event data with other customer data sources, including surveys, ad publishers, and app store data.
Use strong communication skills to manage reporting and business intelligence needs for Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance teams.
Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.
Salary range is $140,109 - $150,000 per year.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Quantitative Methods, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a position involving data analysis and testing.
Alternatively, a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in the aforementioned fields, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a position involving data analysis and testing.
3 years of professional experience providing data wrangling services to make data consumable for downstream purposes.
3 years of professional experience using scripting languages (including Python, NumPy, or PANDAS) and structured query language (SQL).
3 years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint for creating presentations, automated reports, and dashboards.
3 years of professional experience utilizing machine learning/statistical modeling tools and techniques (including sklearn, tensorflow, or keras).
2 years of professional experience working with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
2 years of professional experience developing and working with recommendation engines.
1 year of professional experience using experimentation on Trust and Safety identity features and working with common KPIs, metrics, and Trust and Safety experiments.
1 year of professional experience designing and analyzing A/B tests for software systems or applications using statistical methods.
