Description:
Design and implement data warehouse solutions, including data models, schemas, and architecture, to meet business requirements and enable efficient data storage and retrieval.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency.
Optimize data warehouse performance through indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques, ensuring scalability and responsiveness for analytical and reporting needs.
Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including access controls, data masking, and encryption.
Implement monitoring and alerting systems to track data warehouse performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and data loss.
Document data warehouse design, processes, and best practices, providing clear and comprehensive documentation to facilitate understanding and collaboration among team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and best practices in data warehouse engineering, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing, building, and maintaining data warehousing solutions.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar.
Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques, with experience designing and implementing data models and schemas for data warehouses.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data governance in a data warehouse environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize system performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
