Description:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure efficient and secure data storage and retrieval.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, including user access controls, encryption, and data backups following government policies.
  • Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and enhance speed and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss or corruption.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database structures meeting requirements and compliances.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency by implementing validation rules and conducting regular data quality checks.
  • Resolve database issues like connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
  • Plan and execute database software upgrades, apply patches, and maintain overall database system health.
  • Document database architectures, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT developers, system administrators, and network engineers for seamless database integration.
  • Monitor data growth and plan for database capacity expansion as required.
  • Ensure databases adhere to relevant data protection and privacy regulations as per government compliances.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Database Administration role.
  • Proficiency in MySQL developer and DBA skills.
  • Experience in MySQL performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of database security practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and a solid understanding of system architecture.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
