Remote Senior Database Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Database Engineer will be responsible for developing tools to create application libraries for accessing and controlling test and measurement equipment.
• The project involves replacing a third-party tool with an internal, IP-free solution to ensure software security and exclusivity.
• Key responsibilities include schema design, compiler development, creating helper code, and collaborating with .NET developers for seamless integration.
• The role focuses on optimizing storage schema for efficiency and scalability, developing a compiler for high-level language APIs, and enabling efficient search I/O.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering with expertise in schema design and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, XML, XPath, designing database schemas, creating compilers, database search techniques, and object serialization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
