Description:

The Senior Database Engineer position offers an excellent opportunity to work remotely with a U.S.-based company, open to candidates residing in Mexico, Central, or South America.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing strategic data engineering solutions by moving data through ETL pipelines to train ML models and enhance data products for customers.
You will collaborate with Data Science, Business Analysts, and Machine Learning Engineers to improve data products and democratize data discovery.
Core qualifications include a BA/BS degree in a technical/quantitative field, 5+ years of Data Engineering experience, proficiency in SQL and Python, ability to work independently and within an agile team, and experience in data modeling, Data Pipelines/ETL, Databases, Data Warehousing, Data Lake, and Business Intelligence Platforms.
The role requires expertise in coding practices, experience with managed services in AWS, Azure, or GCP, validating data quality, and authoring stories and bugs independently or in team sessions.

Requirements:

BA/BS degree in a technical/quantitative field
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Proficiency in SQL and Python
Ability to work independently and within an agile team
Experience in data modeling, Data Pipelines/ETL, Databases, Data Warehousing, Data Lake, and Business Intelligence Platforms
Expertise in coding practices and applying them in code reviews
Experience with managed services in AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience validating data quality with test automation
Ability to author stories and bugs independently or in team grooming sessions
