Description:
The Senior Database Engineer at ecoATM will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex database systems critical to business operations.
Key responsibilities include database design and architecture, performance tuning, data integrity, security, collaboration with stakeholders, mentorship, innovation, and problem-solving.
The role involves working closely with developers, data scientists, and other team members to deliver solutions aligned with project goals.
The position requires staying current with emerging database technologies and proposing innovative solutions to improve performance and scalability.
The Senior Database Engineer will diagnose and resolve complex database issues, develop disaster recovery plans, and ensure minimal downtime.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., DBA, AWS Certified Database – Specialty) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role, with a strong track record of designing, implementing, and managing large-scale databases.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle). Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is highly desirable. Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) is a plus. Familiarity with database automation and DevOps practices.
