Remote Senior Database Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Database Engineer will work on cryptocurrency-supporting high-volume real-time trading applications in the realm of blockchain-based financial technology.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining RDBM Systems, creating innovative solutions to technical problems, and improving the quality of database systems and code.
• The role involves acting as a lead for complex problem resolution, establishing data management standards, ensuring system design compliance, and recommending solutions for system improvement.
• The position requires fulfilling ad hoc query and report requests and collaborating with the software engineering team.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in RDBMS physical and logical OLTP design, and OLTP stored procedures development in MySQL.
• Experience with high volume and high throughput transactional systems.
• Ability to provide technical consultation, maintain top-quality technical skills, and design highly performant database code.
• Proficiency in analyzing schema, querying data, and reviewing SQL.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to move a software product through the full development lifecycle.
• Experience with AWS, RDS, and Version Control systems like Git.
