Description:
This is a full-time work from home opportunity for a skilled Data/ML Engineer from LATAM.

The Data/ML Engineer will join the BI team and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the end-to-end data pipeline, architecture, and design that powers the warehouse, LLM-driven applications, and AI-based BI.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing workflows for unstructured data, implementing analytics solutions, managing prompt engineering techniques, overseeing vector data stores, and creating comprehensive documentation for data processes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years focused on MLOps.
Excellent English communication skills are required, along with effective oral and written communication skills with the BI team and user community.
Demonstrated experience in utilizing Python for data engineering tasks, including transformation and large-scale data processing, is essential.
A deep understanding of vector databases and RAG architectures is necessary to drive semantic retrieval workflows.
Candidates should be skilled at integrating open-source LLM frameworks into data engineering workflows for model training and scalable inference.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure Machine Learning for managed LLM deployments is required.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka for distributed processing is essential.
Experience in designing complex data pipelines from various data sources, along with advanced SQL and PLSQL programming skills, is required.
Understanding of software engineering principles and experience with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems, as well as Agile methodologies, is necessary.
Proficiency in version control systems and experience in managing code repositories in a distributed development environment is required.
An interest in business operations and understanding how robust BI systems drive corporate profitability is essential.
