Description:
Zippy is seeking a hands-on, technically strong Senior DevOps Engineer to scale their infrastructure and DevOps practices.
The role involves owning and evolving the systems that power Zippy's fully digital lending experience for manufactured homes.
Responsibilities include managing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS, improving CI/CD processes, and enhancing Docker-based deployments.
The engineer will develop internal tooling and automation using Bash and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable fast and safe deployments.
The position requires defining best practices for DevOps, organizing access controls, and serving as a technical expert on system architecture and security.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar infrastructure engineering roles.
Expert-level knowledge of Terraform and AWS, specifically ECS, Fargate, FSx, RDS, and Aurora Serverless is required.
Experience with deploying Ruby on Rails applications is necessary.
Proficiency with Docker and container-based development environments is essential.
Strong command-line experience and scripting in Bash is required.
Candidates should have strong GitHub experience, including workflows and automation.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and managing secure credentials is necessary.
A strong background in data infrastructures, tooling, performance, and pipelines is required.
Candidates should be pragmatic builders with a documentation-first mindset and comfortable working independently in a remote-first startup.
