Description:

Fullscript is seeking a Senior Ruby Engineer to help build a platform that supports healthcare practitioners and patients.
The role involves creating rich, stable, and compelling user experiences while maintaining a focus on developer experience.
Responsibilities include planning solution designs, implementing business logic for the e-commerce platform, and building integrations with external services like Stripe and Avatax.
The engineer will also build an internal API for other teams, solve performance issues, contribute to technical improvements, and participate in code reviews and mentorship.
The technology stack includes Ruby on Rails for backend development and React, TypeScript, and Apollo for frontend experiences.

Requirements:

Candidates must be passionate software engineers who care about their craft and are eager to learn and lead projects.
Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails is required.
Applicants should understand the value of writing tests and have a desire to learn and be open to feedback.
A solid understanding of design patterns and clean code is necessary.
Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers is also required.
