Remote Senior Developer (Backend)

Description:

• The Senior Developer (Backend) position at 1Password involves working on Programmatic Interfaces and Billing and Payments teams.
• The Programmatic Interfaces team focuses on enabling partners, developers, and customers to integrate with 1Password through APIs, authentication, and SDKs.
• The Billing and Payments team is responsible for managing financial transactions, generating invoices, processing payments, and providing customer support.
• The role involves collaborating with international teams across different time zones and working asynchronously most of the time.
• Responsibilities include leading the development, testing, and debugging of software systems, mentoring junior team members, driving technical design and implementation, and staying informed about industry trends.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong experience in software development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
• Ability to solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in testing methodologies, debugging techniques, and mentoring developers.
• Proficiency in building and operating APIs at scale, databases (MySQL or Postgres), asynchronous service-to-service communication, Rest APIs, and message queues.
