Description:

  • As a developer in the Calculations team, your primary focus will be the design, maintenance, and development of various backend calculation services related to legislative compliance, payroll, and HR.
  • You will emphasize performance optimization, throughput, and accuracy in your work.
  • Your responsibilities will include general coding, innovative design, and unit testing of the PaySpace calculation services.
  • You will collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes Frontend, Back-End, and Full-Stack Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s.
  • You will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, providing input at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • You will work together with teams to develop robust new features, APIs, and continuously improve products while quickly addressing any bugs.
  • You will ensure customers receive a white-glove experience with the products.
  • You will keep Information Security, Customer Excellence, Self-Development, and Cost Savings as top priorities.
  • You will be expected to learn and adapt to new ways of working.

Requirements:

  • You must have expert knowledge of the latest versions of C#/.NET and .NET Core.
  • You should be proficient in applying SOLID Principles.
  • A strong understanding of MS-SQL is required, as you will be considered a database guru.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps is necessary; if you are a fast learner, knowledge of similar tools may be acceptable.
  • You should be able to create RESTful APIs with ease.
  • Experience with Dapper or a similar ORM is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer is necessary.
  • You should excel in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Microsoft technologies.
  • You must thrive in a collaborative, remote-first work culture and embrace independence while also excelling in a team setting.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for conveying complex ideas and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • A passion for solving customer problems and a business-focused approach to software development are important.
