Description:
As a developer in the Calculations team, your primary focus will be the design, maintenance, and development of various backend calculation services related to legislative compliance, payroll, and HR.
You will emphasize performance optimization, throughput, and accuracy in your work.
Your responsibilities will include general coding, innovative design, and unit testing of the PaySpace calculation services.
You will collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes Frontend, Back-End, and Full-Stack Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s.
You will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, providing input at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
You will work together with teams to develop robust new features, APIs, and continuously improve products while quickly addressing any bugs.
You will ensure customers receive a white-glove experience with the products.
You will keep Information Security, Customer Excellence, Self-Development, and Cost Savings as top priorities.
You will be expected to learn and adapt to new ways of working.
Requirements:
You must have expert knowledge of the latest versions of C#/.NET and .NET Core.
You should be proficient in applying SOLID Principles.
A strong understanding of MS-SQL is required, as you will be considered a database guru.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps is necessary; if you are a fast learner, knowledge of similar tools may be acceptable.
You should be able to create RESTful APIs with ease.
Experience with Dapper or a similar ORM is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer is necessary.
You should excel in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Microsoft technologies.
You must thrive in a collaborative, remote-first work culture and embrace independence while also excelling in a team setting.
Strong communication skills are essential for conveying complex ideas and collaborating with diverse teams.
A passion for solving customer problems and a business-focused approach to software development are important.
