Description:

  • The role is for a Senior Developer in the Calculations team, focusing on the design, maintenance, and development of backend calculation services related to legislative compliance, payroll, and HR.
  • The position emphasizes performance optimization, throughput, and accuracy in coding and innovative design.
  • Responsibilities include general coding, unit testing, and contributing to the PaySpace calculation services.
  • The developer will work in a cross-functional team that includes Frontend, Back-End, Full-Stack Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s.
  • Participation in product planning from discovery to deployment is expected, with input valued at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Collaboration is key, as teams work together to develop new features, APIs, and improve existing products while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • The role requires a focus on Information Security, Customer Excellence, Self-Development, and Cost Savings.
  • Adaptability to new working methods is essential.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of the latest versions of C#/.NET and .NET Core is required.
  • Proficiency in applying SOLID Principles is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of MS-SQL databases is essential.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps is required; knowledge of similar tools is acceptable for fast learners.
  • Experience in creating RESTful APIs is a must.
  • Familiarity with Dapper or a similar ORM is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer is necessary.
  • Candidates should excel in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Microsoft technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote-first work culture is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are required.
  • A business-focused approach to software development with a focus on delivering high-value outcomes is necessary.
