Description:
Honeycomb is looking for a Senior Developer Relations Advocate with a focus on front-end development to spread higher expectations of observability to include client-facing parts of software systems.
The role involves bringing meaningful observability to web and mobile application developers, influencing product direction and design decisions, contributing to open-source libraries and documentation, and participating in communities around web and mobile development with OpenTelemetry.
Responsibilities include creating blogs, articles, and videos about implementing observability in web apps, presenting at conferences and events, helping marketers and salespeople engage with front-end developers, and embedding in the development team for Honeycomb Frontend Observability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in front-end (web) development, familiarity with Typescript and at least one JS framework, frustration with the current state of frontend monitoring/diagnostics/observability/RUM, and a talent for conveying complicated concepts clearly.
Additionally, the role requires an urge to be out in the world, ability to work alone with a preference for collaboration, satisfaction in learning, and a bonus if the candidate has developed a mobile app or played around with building one.
Requirements:
Experience in front-end (web) development, including supporting production apps.
Familiarity with Typescript and at least one JS framework.
Willingness to learn additional frameworks as needed.

Frustration with the current state of frontend monitoring/diagnostics/observability/RUM.
Talent for conveying complicated concepts clearly.
Ability to work alone with a preference for working together.
Satisfaction in learning.
Bonus: Experience developing a mobile app or playing around with building one.
Benefits:
