Remote Senior DevOps Architect - AWS

• The Senior or Principal DevOps Architect will assess existing infrastructure and design scalable architecture patterns across the stack.
• This is a hands-on role that will assist the DevOps team in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for improvements and innovation.
• The role involves championing DevOps best practices and collaborating closely with software engineering, software quality engineering, product, and project management teams.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing release pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring, and environment management.
• The architect will collaborate with leadership to execute a comprehensive roadmap for building out the DevOps practice at an enterprise scale.
• The position requires modernizing and streamlining existing promotion, release, and environment management processes.
• The architect will drive metrics and KPIs to monitor progress across the DevOps practice and promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree is required.
• Experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, and/or software engineering is necessary.
• Candidates must have experience designing and building enterprise-level infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using infrastructure as code, automation, and other tools is required.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer.
• Preferred qualifications include experience building out and scaling enterprise-level DevOps and managing fully remote teams across multiple time zones.
• Experience working with Agile teams, particularly in a Scaled Agile environment, is preferred.
• Proficiency in automation, configuration management, and deployment tools such as AWS Code Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Docker is desired.
• A solid understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS and Salesforce, as well as Infrastructure as Code concepts using Terraform or CloudFormation, is preferred.
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is beneficial.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
