Remote Senior DevOps AWS Engineer

Description:

• The project involves upgrading a monolith system for an insurance company, with a team of Java developers seeking a DevOps engineer to join them.
• The work includes developing new features and upgrading existing ones.
• Responsibilities include managing and optimizing infrastructure on AWS for high availability and scalability.
• Building and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform for efficient and reliable deployment.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and release processes.
• Setting up and configuring APM tools like Sentry, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Fluentbit, including creating monitoring dashboards, alarms, and notifications.
• Managing containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
• Overseeing continuous delivery processes using ArgoCD for seamless deployment.
• Working with Bitbucket pipelines or GitHub Actions to automate workflows and enhance source control processes.
• Utilizing Jenkins for automating and managing build, test, and deployment processes.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of AWS is a must-have.
• Experience in building infrastructure using Terraform.
• Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience setting up APM tools like Sentry, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Fluentbit, etc., including configuring dashboards, alarms, and notifications.
• Proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes and Helm for package management.
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD for continuous delivery.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Jenkins for automation.
