Description:
InfluxData is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work remotely in the US, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, or the UK.
The role involves maintaining and extending foundational technologies to provide highly available, distributed services for InfluxData's time series platform.
The candidate will utilize their Linux operations and teamwork skills to support the platform where metrics and events are prioritized.
The position requires experience in designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure using GitOps methodology.

Requirements:
Candidates must have production-level experience with Kubernetes and related ecosystems (e.g., Istio, Vault) in production environments.

Hands-on experience with production workloads in managed and self-managed Kubernetes platforms is essential, along with familiarity with general DevOps patterns across cloud providers like AWS, Google, and Azure.
The candidate should be an active team participant, focused on iterative excellence and willing to engage in a low-volume pager rotation.
Methodical troubleshooting skills are necessary for resolving complex issues both individually and collaboratively.
Bonus qualifications include experience in maintaining a SaaS environment, serving as an incident commander, CI/CD experience, and familiarity with applications written in Go or Rust.
