Description:

Terrascope is seeking an innovative and self-driven Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the software development life cycle.
The role involves developing, deploying, and automating CI/CD pipelines for all products and platform services using open source tools across production and testing environments.
Responsibilities include automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration with tools like Terraform or Ansible, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
The engineer will collaborate with development teams to suggest architecture improvements, enhance code quality, and optimize deployment strategies.
Implementing observability, monitoring, and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is a key part of the role.
The position requires optimizing system performance and troubleshooting complex issues related to infrastructure and application deployment.
The engineer will deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters for efficient container orchestration and microservices architectures, ensuring high availability.
Assisting in implementing robust security practices, including IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning, is essential.
The role also involves defining system recovery scenarios and ensuring resilience requirements are met.
The engineer will develop and maintain the release management process and continually improve operational processes by streamlining workflows.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of extensive experience as a DevOps engineer using IaC stack and cloud-native tools.
Solid experience in CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git, as well as infrastructure management and provisioning tools such as Terraform and Ansible, is necessary.
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, particularly AWS, is essential.
Demonstrated competence in Kubernetes and containerization technologies, along with familiarity with Helm, is required.
Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms is expected.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript is necessary.
Deep competence in IAM is required.
Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced and highly driven environment.
A self-starter with a growth mindset and proactiveness in working independently to drive results is essential.
Prior experience in startups and working with remote teams is preferred.
