Description:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will assist in managing AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members.
This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other automation tools.
The engineer will learn and assist in managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
Responsibilities include supporting autoscaling solutions to optimize resource usage and cost-effectiveness.
The position requires helping to deploy and maintain monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and the ELK stack.
The engineer will work with senior engineers to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
Troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues is a key responsibility.
The role involves following security best practices and compliance standards in the cloud environment.
Collaboration with team members to improve DevOps workflows and deployment strategies is essential.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AWS and/or GCP environments.
Proficiency in Jenkins for CI/CD automation is required.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is necessary.
A deep understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Podman is essential.
Experience in autoscaling techniques for cloud-native applications is required.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages is required.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is essential.
Strong knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions is preferred.
Exposure to service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd is a plus.
Familiarity with database administration in cloud environments is beneficial.
Previous experience working in an agile development environment is required.
