Description:

  • The position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer at ZigZag Global, a remote role based in Bulgaria.
  • The role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting ZigZag’s infrastructure and application architecture for their SaaS product hosted in Microsoft Azure.
  • Key responsibilities include managing scalable and secure infrastructure solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, monitoring and logging, security and compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • The candidate will work closely with the wider Platform team and contribute to a dynamic environment by implementing scalable and resilient solutions.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture is essential.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.
  • A good understanding of helm and GitOps tools like ArgoCD and Flux is necessary.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python is needed.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
  • Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
