Description:

CareMessage is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to create and maintain a highly scalable and reliable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
The role involves automating and building infrastructure that supports a health equity engine messaging millions of underserved patients monthly.
Responsibilities include leading engineering projects, designing and improving cloud infrastructure, developing backup mechanisms, participating in on-call rotations, mentoring team members, and staying updated on industry trends.
Requirements:
Candidates must have multiple years of experience in at least three professional roles such as DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar Systems Administrator role.
Strong Linux system administration skills are required.
Proficiency in one or more development languages, preferably Ruby or Python, is necessary.
Extensive experience maintaining production infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure is required, with GCP being strongly preferred.
Experience with configuration management and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible is essential.
Professional experience with software containers such as Docker and Kubernetes is needed.
Candidates should have experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of HIPAA security and compliance standards is required, with additional healthcare security frameworks being a bonus.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and CircleCI is necessary.
Experience with firewall network appliances is a nice-to-have.
