Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

• Callbell is a centralized collaborative inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger, and Telegram, allowing businesses to communicate with customers in real-time.
• The company was founded in November 2018 and launched its product in September 2019, currently serving over 1600 paying clients.
• The team has grown from 2 to 35 people, working fully remote from various countries.
• The company is seeking a full-time, full-remote DevOps Engineer / SRE who thrives in a startup environment and is passionate about building great software.
• The main challenge for 2025 is to scale infrastructure built on AWS Cloud Infrastructure while continuously improving performance and providing new features for clients.
• The role involves building a robust and scalable infrastructure, monitoring and troubleshooting issues, maintaining documentation, performing scheduled maintenance, and supporting software developers with necessary tools and practices.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in SRE, Production, or Systems Engineering fields.
• Experience in building and maintaining distributed systems based on Kubernetes and containers is required, along with experience working with at least one major cloud provider, ideally AWS.
• Proficiency in infrastructure and application observability tooling such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana is necessary.
• Good knowledge in coding/scripting languages (NodeJS, Go, Python, Bash) and config/automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Kustomize, Helm) is expected.
• A solid understanding of relational databases (Postgres), Columnar databases (ClickHouse), and KV stores (Redis) is a significant plus.
• Candidates must have a fully functioning workspace with a quiet place to focus and a high-speed internet connection.
• Applicants should be located in a European time zone (+/-3 UTC range) and must commit to this as their full-time job without other part-time roles.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
