Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

Description:

• True Anomaly is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to contribute to the evolution of complex spacecraft modeling and simulation software.
• The role involves establishing and sustaining continuous integration and deployment processes using CI/CD tools to streamline development workflows.
• Responsibilities include overseeing the deployment, scaling, and management of applications using Kubernetes, designing and managing cloud-based solutions primarily on Azure, and utilizing Terraform for cloud resource management.
• The engineer will work closely with security teams to enhance infrastructure security and implement monitoring and logging solutions.
• The position requires assisting software development teams with troubleshooting and optimizing performance, deploying applications in challenging environments, and engaging in problem-solving during design and debugging stages.
• Candidates do not need prior experience in aerospace or building space ground systems.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have at least 6 years of DevOps and cloud experience.
• Experience with any flavor of Linux and containers, as well as container orchestration, is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki is required.
• Production experience in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure is essential.
• A strong understanding of Kubernetes, specifically AKS and Helm, is needed.
• Candidates must have a strong understanding of Terraform use cases and best practices.
• Experience in setting up production-grade networking with hybrid clouds is required.
• Intimate knowledge of protocols such as TCP and HTTP(S) is necessary.
• Proficiency in any scripting language (Bash, Python, etc.) is required.
• Candidates should hold a cloud certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• An understanding of security and compliance in a DevOps context is essential.
