Description:
Tenna is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset to lead the evolution of its cloud infrastructure.
This role involves shaping DevOps practices, driving innovation across systems architecture, and enabling the Engineering Team to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable services.
Responsibilities include designing scalable, redundant, cost-effective, and fault-tolerant infrastructure for production systems.
The engineer will proactively manage infrastructure costs and make optimization recommendations.
The role requires helping to migrate existing applications into Kubernetes and supporting container orchestration strategies.
Building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and operational tooling to support rapid development and deployment cycles is essential.
The engineer will write high-quality JavaScript code and Bash scripts to automate infrastructure processes and troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities also include developing comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems, automating incident response, and implementing security controls.
The engineer will work closely with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to troubleshoot issues and develop creative solutions.
Educating development teams to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks and scaling constraints is part of the role.
Staying up to date on relevant technologies and actively participating in planning meetings is expected.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Node.js, Golang, Python, or C#.
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and managing AWS environments is required.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience with Linux systems, including administration, operations, and networking.
Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments is necessary.
Strong experience managing distributed messaging systems, preferably RabbitMQ, is required.
Deep experience supporting and optimizing both SQL and NoSQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, is essential.
Experience deploying, managing, and scaling microservices in production environments, preferably using Node.js, is required.
Familiarity with build automation tools, preferably GitHub Actions, is necessary.
Experience with configuration management and workflow automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform is required.
A strong understanding of security best practices, DevSecOps principles, and compliance automation is essential.
Hands-on experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization at the infrastructure level is required.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is mandatory.
Experience in monitoring and supporting highly available, large-scale web applications in production is a plus.
Familiarity with Redis and Elasticsearch is a plus.
Exposure to IoT platforms or experience supporting infrastructure for connected devices is a significant advantage.
Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux is a plus.
