Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be part of DataCamp's infrastructure team, responsible for CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS), logging, monitoring, security, and data platform (GCP).
The role involves advising production engineering teams on infrastructure best practices, managing company-wide shared resources, and enabling seamless deployment of applications.
Responsibilities include enhancing developer productivity, scalability, availability, and security through automation, self-serve deployment, and cost control.
The position involves working with EKS (Kubernetes), Istio service mesh, Terraform, and managing the Kong API Gateway.
The team also oversees the DataCamp Data Platform deployed on Big Query and airflow for data pipeline jobs.
Additionally, the role includes ownership of the learn multiplexer product for scheduling course sessions on the DataCamp platform.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in administering/maintaining infrastructure tools like AWS, Docker, and K8s.
2+ years of experience in advising on/implementing deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
2+ years of web development experience with languages like JavaScript, Go, Python, Node, or Ruby.
2+ years of security tooling experience, including tools like SonarCloud and vulnerability scanning.
Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Interest in understanding and scaling complex systems, monitoring, and self-healing systems.
Highly organized with a flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness/aptitude for learning.
Ability to contribute to the team through code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
Collaborative work style with the ability to develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
