Description:
Protegrity is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to implement and manage the DevOps approach within the organization.
This role is essential for bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient delivery of high-quality software products.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.
The engineer will define and set processes for development, testing, release, update, and support for DevOps operations.
Collaboration with development and operations teams is required to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle.
The role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
The engineer will automate, manage, and optimize the deployment and infrastructure of applications on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Monitoring and managing infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability is a key responsibility.
The engineer will choose the best tools and technologies that fit business needs and lead platform upgrades/migrations independently.
Stakeholder management and mentoring junior software developers in DevOps responsibilities are also part of the role.
Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the software infrastructure is expected.
Requirements:
A BE/ME/MCA or any other degree in a related field is required.
Candidates should have 3-7 years of relevant DevOps experience.
Hands-on experience with DevOps concepts and tools such as Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory/Nexus is necessary.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible is required.
Practical experience in building, designing, and maintaining cloud-based applications with AWS, Azure, and GCP is essential.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with container and container orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS, and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of shell scripting and programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java is required.
Experience implementing monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana for infrastructure monitoring is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
