Description:
Kin is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support their mission of transforming home insurance.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
Responsibilities include leveraging GitHub Workflows and Actions, Terraform IAC, and AWS to enhance CI/CD processes.
The position requires automating CI/CD pipelines with a focus on scalability, reliability, cost optimization, and security.
Daily tasks may include collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing CI/CD pipelines, developing infrastructure as code solutions, and implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.
The role also involves staying updated with industry trends and continuously improving automation and tooling.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, focusing on CI/CD automation and infrastructure management.
Proficiency in GitHub Workflows and Actions for orchestrating CI/CD pipelines is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code development is necessary.
Working knowledge of AWS services, particularly EC2, ECS, ECR, S3, RDS, and IAM, is essential, with additional skills in Redis, DMS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Databricks being a plus.
Strong shell scripting skills, along with experience in Docker and YAML, are required.
Candidates should have experience automating release and change management processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and prioritize competing demands is important.
Candidates must be fast learners and ready to bring their knowledge to the position while continuing to develop.
The position is remote-first, with a preference for candidates in the MT and PST time zones, and is limited to US candidates only, as employment visa sponsorship is not available.
