Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer is part of the Hosting Operation team, responsible for building, deploying, maintaining, and automating software development CI/CD pipelines from source control through higher environments.
This position works closely with Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Product Strategy teams.
The role ensures solutions are built based on company standards and are deployable on-prem or in the cloud.
Responsibilities include capturing, analyzing, and deriving DevOps requirements from key stakeholders.
The engineer will design, develop, deploy, and improve DevOps infrastructure and environments to support product development and hosting.
They will implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-standard tools and services.
Timely support for product development and hosting is required, including responding to monitoring alerts and troubleshooting production and non-production issues.
The engineer will implement and stay updated on cloud and DevOps best practices and tooling.
They will work with the engineering team to identify necessary Azure resources and automate their provisioning.
Thorough documentation of work is required to adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures, Audit Requirements, Peer Training, and Peer Code Review.
Additional duties may be performed as required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in virtualization, containerization, build, and deployment.
Extensive experience with SCM, CI/CD, instrumentation, and observability tools is necessary.
Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps is required.
Candidates must be proficient with major IaC technologies such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as C#, PowerShell, Python, and Bash is required.
A working knowledge of OS and network infrastructure is necessary.
Experience with Azure native services is a plus.
Knowledge of diverse DevSecOps concepts/tools is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with a fast learning capability, are essential.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.
Candidates should be highly focused, creative, industrious, and passionate.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 a year.
Comprehensive benefits are available for regular, full-time or part-time employees working 30 or more hours per week, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, and 401(K).
Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO) is offered.
A company bonus may be applicable where relevant.
