Description:

Tenna is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their remote development team.
The role involves writing quality code and solving complex infrastructure problems within Tenna's cloud-based solution, which utilizes AWS and third-party services.
Responsibilities include managing and improving the current AWS infrastructure, designing scalable and fault-tolerant production systems, and building monitoring and alert systems.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will write JavaScript code and Bash scripts to automate infrastructure processes and troubleshoot issues.
Collaboration with Engineering, QA, and Product teams is essential for troubleshooting and creative problem-solving.
The position requires implementing and automating security controls and governance processes.
The engineer will design and maintain tools for operational processes and support developer operations.
Proactive management of infrastructure costs and assistance in migrating applications to Kubernetes are also key responsibilities.
The role includes educating the Development Team on performance optimization and staying updated on relevant technologies and trends.
Active participation in planning meetings to identify and implement technical solutions is expected.

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of development experience with languages such as JavaScript, Node.js, Golang, Python, or C# is required.
At least 7 years of experience with Linux systems, administration, operations, and networking is necessary.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience managing and configuring AWS.
Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Strong experience with distributed messaging systems, preferably RabbitMQ, is essential.
Candidates should have experience supporting SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
Experience in deploying, managing, and scaling microservices, preferably in Node.js, is required.
Familiarity with build automation tools, preferably GitHub Actions, is necessary.
Experience with configuration management and workflow automation tools is required.
Direct experience monitoring and supporting a highly available web application at scale is a plus.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch is a plus, and any IoT experience is highly desirable.
