Description:
Easy Dynamics is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their remote team.
The role involves providing software development, continuous integration, software delivery, systems administration, software quality, and systems documentation support for the agency’s digital assets.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the Application Development Team to develop strategies for web products, assisting with cloud-based infrastructure services, and performing administration on Red Hat-based and CentOS-based systems.
The engineer will engage with personnel to understand requirements, collaborate with stakeholders to build valuable tools, and provide training on DevOps methodologies and technologies.
Additional tasks include developing documentation such as Use Cases and Training Manuals, and providing architectural expertise for deploying applications in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
Requirements:
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is necessary.
Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in deploying and configuring infrastructure services, with 3-5 years in a senior level role using AWS IaaS.
Experience in delivering software to an AWS EKS containerized cloud environment is essential, focusing on optimization, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
Proficiency with Helm, Kubectl, Docker, and customizing AWS EKS clusters is required.
Candidates should have experience in building and optimizing Docker images and working with AWS ECR.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AWS environments and services is necessary.
Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and monitoring for cloud-native applications is required.
Expertise in configuring and deploying services such as PostgreSQL RDS and Jenkins is essential.
Familiarity with tools like Chef or Puppet for automating operational processes is needed.
Experience with Github for source code management and working with Github Actions is required.
Candidates should have experience managing cloud-native applications in an EKS cluster within a federal AWS environment and working with open-source solutions.
Experience in FedRamp IaaS/SaaS is also necessary.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000.
