Description:

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts, with the option to work remotely.
The role involves developing and maintaining a resilient, scalable, and efficient infrastructure to support Veeva Opendata's growth.
Responsibilities include architecting and delivering scalable application solutions using AWS services, implementing DevOps practices, and managing CI/CD workflows.
The engineer will construct and deploy architecture using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes, and design cloud-optimized Big Data workflows.
The position requires developing tools and processes for Opendata engineers and scaling solutions from proofs-of-concept to fully operational systems.
The engineer will recommend architectural enhancements and establish best practices to minimize reliability-related failures.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles, focusing on tooling, automation, and distributed systems development.
Extensive experience in architecting and programming applications within an AWS Cloud environment is required, including serverless and container technologies.
Proficiency in designing applications using container and serverless technologies is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Kubernetes at scale is essential.
Candidates should have expertise in configuration management platforms and experience developing in Python.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Go, or similar is required.
Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Codefresh is necessary.
Hands-on experience with AWS EMR and AWS Glue is required.
Familiarity with monitoring frameworks for infrastructure and application health is essential.
Deep knowledge of Data Lakes and Databases is required.
Excellent skills in proposal writing, project estimation, presentation, and documentation are necessary.
Candidates must be located in the CST or EST timezone and have the unrestricted right to work in the United States.
