Description:

  • Join Dataroid, an award-winning digital analytics and customer engagement platform, as a Senior DevOps Engineer.
  • Be responsible for the overall health of multiple applications and their operating environments.
  • Interact with development team members to design and deliver applications with high availability and stability.
  • Analyze and understand problems when they occur and delegate them to the relevant people.
  • Apply cloud and CI/CD skills working with cloud-based and on-prem resources to define standards and processes for scalable, reliable applications.
  • Suggest innovative solutions and carry out proof of concepts such as automation of processes and improving integration points.

Requirements:

  • A BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or SRE role is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments such as Ubuntu and/or RHEL is essential.
  • Understanding of large scale distributed systems and microservices architecture is required.
  • Experience with monitoring systems like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, collectord, and Splunk is needed.
  • Familiarity with shell tools such as vim, tmux, git, telnet, netcat, ssh, jq, and docker-compose is required.
  • Programming and scripting skills in Shell, Python, Java, or Node.js are necessary.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD automation build and deployment systems is required.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores such as ElasticSearch, Postgres, Scylladb, and Druid is necessary.
  • Experience with Ansible or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies is required.
  • Knowledge of load balancers such as nginx, haproxy, and F5 is essential.
  • Proficiency with Git and Git branching models is required.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Zookeeper, and Nexus is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba, or Oracle Cloud is necessary.
