Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve the development lifecycle, streamline deployment pipelines, and drive system reliability.
Responsibilities include building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, understanding stakeholder needs, automating and improving development and release processes, ensuring system security against cybersecurity threats, and monitoring processes for adherence and improvement.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable systems.
The role requires working as an individual contributor in the DevOps team to build and maintain infrastructure, automate workflows, and ensure smooth application delivery at scale.
Applicants should be able to set strategic direction for the team regarding process, tools, and automation for efficient infrastructure and service delivery.
A proven track record of executing projects independently is essential.
Candidates must develop and enforce best practices, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to DevOps processes.
Experience with Linux-based infrastructure is required.
An excellent understanding of Ruby, Perl, Java, and/or Python is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
Excellent troubleshooting techniques and awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles are required.
The ability to deploy monitoring and logging infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Nagios, Datadog, or similar is essential.
Proficiency in container frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or similar is required.
Candidates must have an excellent understanding of core AWS technologies and solid hands-on experience using AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, EKS, API Gateway, Cognito, SES, SNS, AMI, and IAM.
Experience with infrastructure automation toolsets like Terraform, Pulumi, or similar, and command line interfaces for Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and other cloud platforms is necessary.
Candidates should be able to automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.
