Remote Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Description:

• We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• The candidate must have practical knowledge of Gitlab.
• Experience in administering Linux/Windows operating systems and AWS cloud computing is required.
• The ability to write scripts in Bash, Python, or PowerShell is essential.
• Familiarity with provisioning tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or CDK is necessary.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is expected.
• The candidate should be familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Proficiency in English at a level that allows for smooth communication (minimum B2) is required.
• The role involves simplifying complex processes with user-friendly tools to make development straightforward and reliable.
• Responsibilities include creating or expanding environments for software developed by the team.
• The engineer will ensure that developers' and testers' workstations are fully automated and ready for project work.
• Building and maintaining tools for automating the software development process in all its phases is a key task.
• The role requires balancing high security levels with team comfort and flexibility.
• The engineer will onboard new team members in their area of responsibility and grant permissions.
• Documentation preparation is part of the job, with a focus on automation, where code can serve as documentation.
• The engineer will prepare various infrastructure components such as Reverse Proxy, monitoring services, or log aggregators.
• This position plays a crucial role in the team, being a point of contact for all project participants, both internally and on the client side.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
