Description:

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (SCE) to empower our users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions.
  • As we expand our digital advertisement SaaS suite, we are leveling up our processes and pipelines.
  • SCEs will deliver insights from the massive scale data of our ad-serving stack and monitor the health and performance of intricate processes exposed to clients via APIs and web applications.
  • You will join a team of SCEs, working closely with Product Owners and their teams to empower, guide, and assist various engineering teams.
  • As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Factor Eleven, you will provide reliable, future-proof solutions using AWS and Kubernetes, offer fresh ideas, plan, guide, and review the work of your team members.
  • You will demonstrate a unique and highly informed viewpoint and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction.
  • Your responsibilities include running the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health, planning, guiding, and reviewing contributions of team members, building software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications, and improving reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our software solutions.
  • You will measure and optimize system performance, provide primary operational support and engineering for our digital advertisement SaaS platform, gather and analyze metrics for performance tuning and fault finding, and partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
  • Participation in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning is also expected, along with creating sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts, and balancing feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives.

Requirements:

  • You must have 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • A firm grasp on Kubernetes with Helm and container composition using Docker is required.
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience with AWS is essential.
  • You should have the ability to program (structured and OO) with multiple high-level languages, such as TypeScript, Rust, C/C++, C#, Python, GoLang, or Java.
  • Extensive experience with Application Performance Monitoring, Tracing, and Logging software such as DataDog, Kibana, Graphana, HoneyComb, Harvest, etc., is necessary.
  • Good experience with event-driven architecture using distributed message brokers such as Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, RabbitMQ, or Redis Streams is required.
  • You should have good knowledge of dynamic resource management frameworks (Kubernetes, Yarn, Helm, cdk8s, AWS CDK, Terraform).
  • A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks is important.
  • Basic knowledge of common tools and pipelines in the NodeJS/NPM ecosystem is expected.
  • A problem-solving attitude and team spirit are essential.
  • AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
