Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) position is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is a remote contract role with Talent2Win.
The role involves joining the Platform Engineering group responsible for maintaining the cloud foundation of a global Human Experience Management (HXM) product.
Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining Azure infrastructure such as AKS, Functions, App Service, Storage, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault.
The engineer will implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep to create repeatable and auditable environments.
Responsibilities also include creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for multiple microservices and front-end applications using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
The role requires automating environment provisioning, blue-green deployments, and self-service workflows for developers.
Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure uptime and performance is essential.
Collaboration with security and compliance teams to embed best practices is a key part of the job.
The engineer will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and VPs to deliver features efficiently and safely.
Documentation of runbooks and knowledge sharing through pair programming and code reviews is expected.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering.
A minimum of 3 years of experience designing and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure is required.
Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or ARM/Bicep and configuration management tools like Ansible are necessary.
Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tooling, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS) is essential.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go is required.
Familiarity with observability stacks and incident response is important.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and cost-aware architecture in the cloud is needed.
Excellent English communication skills and an ownership mindset are essential for this role.
Experience in highly regulated or multi-regional environments (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001) is a bonus.
