Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure including AKS, Functions, App Service, Storage, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault.
The role involves implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (or Bicep) to enable repeatable and auditable environments.
Responsibilities include creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for multiple microservices and front-end applications.
The engineer will automate environment provisioning, blue-green deployments, and self-service workflows for developers.
Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Prometheus/Grafana to ensure uptime and performance is essential.
Collaboration with security and compliance teams to embed best practices such as least privilege, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning is required.
The position involves partnering closely with software engineers, product managers, and VPs to ship features quickly and safely.
Documenting runbooks and sharing knowledge through pair programming and code reviews is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering.
A minimum of 3 years designing and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure is required.
Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (or ARM/Bicep) and configuration management tools like Ansible are necessary.
Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tooling, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS) is essential.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go is required.
Familiarity with observability stacks (logs, metrics, traces) and incident response is expected.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and cost-aware architecture in the cloud is necessary.
Excellent English communication skills and an ownership mindset are required.
Bonus points for experience in highly regulated or multi-regional environments such as GDPR, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
